The Schuylerville Garden Club presented their annual Standard Flower Show.  The 2010 show was titled  "Schuylerville In Bloom" and was held July 10th and 11th at the Saratoga Town Hall in Schuylerville, NY. 
2010 Flower Show:
"The Schuyler House" A Capsule-Functional Table containing a single place setting, with a design appropriate in size to given space.  This was designed by Kathy Turcotte and won the first place blue ribbon."Starks Knob"  A Creative Line Mass design.  This design was by Janet Billingsley and won the first place blue ribbon."Saratoga Monument" A Creative Floor design staged on the floor, within a circle 40" in diameter. No height requirement.  HB p. 201  The design on the left was by Phoebe Fontaine and won the first place blue ribbon and Designer's Choice."Parks"  An all green design staged on a table. Design by Liz Gee. This design won the first place blue ribbon, the Tricolor Award, and The Award of Design Excellence."Waterfront"  A design showing water staged on a table.  This design was by Liz Gee and won the first place blue ribbon."Corn Mazes"  A Multi-rhythmic design.  A creative design with emphasis on 2 or more rhythms.  HB p. 205  This design was by Marge Shostak and won the first place blue ribbon."Firehouse" A design using dried flowers, not to exceed 5" in height, width, or depth.  This design was by Kathy Turcotte and won the first place blue ribbon."Library" A small design , not to exceed 8" in height, width, or depth.  This design was by Marge Shostak and won the rst place blue ribbon and the Petite Award."Town Hall"  A small patriotic design not to exceed 8" in height, width, or depth.  This design was by Pat Allen and won the first place blue ribbon.

Floral Arranging Demonstration by Tim Healy of Hidden Gardens, Saratoga Springs, NY. Tim is demonstrating one of their signature "bubble bowl" designs.
Horticulture Division with the Display of Perennials in the front.  This is a artistic display of 5 different cut specimens in individual containers."Art Galleries" Combination planters.  This planter by Norma Moy won the blue ribbon for the class, Grower's Choice Award, and the Award of Horticultural Excellence."Restaurants" - Herbs entry by Marge Shostak.  Dill anethum won blue for the class and won the Award of Merit."Apple Orchard" - Trees and Shrubs.  This entry from Patti Nichols won blue for the class and the Arboreal Award.  Juniperus"Hair Salons" - Annuals.  This entry from Leona Brownell won blue for the class and the Award of Merit.  Cleome "Queen mixed""Markets" - Bulbs, tubers, & Corms. "Schuyler Park" - Educational Exhibit - Laurie Griffen - Shows plans for the new Schuyler Park located on Route 29 , Schuylerville.

"Recycling Center" - Youth Exhibit - Consultant Phoebe Fontaine - Youth sculptures using only recycled materials and decorated with fresh or dried plant material.
"Memory Lane" - Patti Nichols - SGC fondly remembers passed garden club members.
