      Erin Luciani grows over 30 varieties of flowers on her farm in Greenwich which she sells at farmers' markets and to area designers. She will demonstrate how to arrange flowers without using Oasis as a base.

May 13, 2020 at 1:00 pm   Flower Show Preparation: 'Flower Show Designs'
     Liz Gee, SGC Flower Show Chairman, will demonstrate two of the design types that will be featured in SGC's annual Standard Flower Show in July.

    Liz Gee, NGC Accredited Judge, Master Gardener and Flower Show Chairman, will share all the details and
 information that club members need to create their displays and to prepare for the July 11-12
SGC  Flower Show  'Flowers Take Flight'.

August 12, 2020 at 1:00 pm Flower Pounding Demo and Workshop
Annette Newcomb, Dist. IV Asst. Director and Lake George GC member & Charlanne Ryan McDonough, Dist. IV Director and Lake George GC President will show us how to pound flowers to imprint and transfer to different items.

September 9, 2020   Field Trip-Tour of Shades of Green Nursery & Gardens, Charlton
Time to be announced
   Proprietor Wynn Trowbridge will conduct a tour of her gardens which specializes in hostas and other shade-loving plants.

October 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm   'Women's Right To Vote'
   Phyllis Chapman, museum educator and living history presenter, will present a first-person costumed
 portrayal of Susan B. Anthony.

November 11, 2020 at 1:00 pm   'Create a Miniature Boxwood Christmas Decoration'
    Location: Battenkill Community Room, 2530  SR 40, Greenwich
Tim Healy,,award winning flower designer at the Posie Peddler in Saratoga will teach us how to create an 8 inch Christmas tree from boxwood.

                              December 9, 2020 at 12 noon       Christmas Party and Gift Exchange 
                                                           at Longfellows Restaurant, 500 Union Ave., Saratoga Springs
     Don't miss this chance to mingle and get to know your fellow members and enjoy some holiday fun and delicious food.

January 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm   'Land Conservation in Saratoga County'
    Maria Trabka, Executive Director of Saratoga P.L.A.N. will speak on land conservation activities throughout Saratoga County

February 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm   'Discovering Hudson Crossing Park' 
  Kate Morse, Director or HCP, will talk about the many benefits and offerings that the park provides.

March 13, 2021 at 12 noon   Annual Covered Dish Luncheon Winter Picnic 
    This is our chance to show off our creative culinary skills. Each member is asked to bring a dish to share.

 April 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm   'Designing An Arrangement For The 2024 SGC Flower Show' 
               Liz Gee and Carol English (SGC members and NGC Master Judges) will outline the designs chosen for the club's 2024 flower show and demonstrate tips on how to construct the designs


May 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm  'Using Native Plants To Attract Birds'
     Rob Snell, President of the Southern Adirondack Audubon Society, will discuss native plants that will add beauty to your garden and attract a variety of birds.


  June 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm  'Flower Show Horticulture'
Heidi Muschick, Glenville Hills Garden Club member and NGC Master Flower Show Judge, will discuss how to select the best specimens and prepare your planters for a flower show.


July 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm   'Preparing for the SGC Standard Flower Show'
    Liz Gee, Flower Show Chair and Carol English, Co-Chair, will share all the details and
 information that club members need to create their displays and to prepare for 2024 SGC Flower Show. 


August 14, 2024 at 10:00 am  Tour of Rogerland Gardens
Rogerland (located at 1263 E. Arlington Rd., East Arlington, VT) is an owner-designed English garden featuring topiaries, wild flower beds in addition to architectural elements. Carpool leaves from Schuylerville  UMC parking lot at 8:45 am.
 Business meeting will follow tour and lunch is provided. 


September 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm  Tour of the Landis Arboretum
The Landis Arboretum (174 Lape Rd., Esperance, NY) is a public garden containing trees, plants, flowers and a complete NYS native plant collection. Carpool leaves Schuylerville UMC parking lot at 11:30 am.


October 9, 2024 at 1:00 pm  Tour of Gardenworks Farm
Megan Southerland of Gardenworks Farm (located at 1055 County Rt. 30, Salem, NY) will lead us on a tour of her farm and specialty market. Carpool leaves from Schuylerville UMC at 12:15 pm.


November 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm   Workshop - Create A Wreath For Late Fall
Tim Healy, owner of Posie Peddler in Saratoga and award winning floral designer, will guide us through making a holiday wreath which will be yours to keep. Please bring a glue gun, wire cutter and sharp scissors to the workshop. 
There is a $15 materials fee which will collected at the  October meeting.


December 11, 2024 at NOON  Holiday Party and Gift Exchange
Party will once again be at the Wishing Well Restaurant located at 745 Saratoga Rd., Gansevoort.
Please bring a donation to support a cause chosen at the November meeting.

January 8, 2025 at 1:00 pm  'Winter Seed Sowing: Getting a Jump Start on Spring!'
Kathy Harter and Janet Chen who are both CCE Master Gardeners will discuss how to start vegetables, herbs and native plants before spring arrives.


February 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm  'Schuylerville Garden Club Through the Decades: 1938 thru ...'
SGC President Evelyn Rybaltowski and SGC Former President Leona Brownell will use a Power Point presentation to document the history of SGC beginning in 1938 thru the present time.


March 12, 2025 at NOON   Annual Covered Dish Winter Picnic Luncheon
Each member will bring a dish to share. Pleas bring your own place setting and beverage.
District IV Director and SGC member Mary Lou Baker will address the club and install new officers for the 2025-2027 term.
